It may happen that we use one of the given terms when communicating with us, so we have written such a basic overview for explanation.

A/B testovanieA/B testing is the process of comparing two versions of a website, email or other marketing medium and measuring the difference in performance.
APIApplication Programming Interface enables interaction, access and exchange of data between two separate software systems.
AsanaAsana is an online tool through which we communicate with clients. Clients can enter their requirements directly into Asana, and the entire course of the project is clearly visible in one place. As part of support, we also use Asana for entering tickets, pricing and obtaining documents.
B2BWe use business to business mainly for e-shops and it refers to sales from one company to another. It can be, for example, a manufacturer that supplies goods to its sellers.

Some e-shops have an e-shop ready for sales to regular end customers, which we refer to as B2C, and after logging in, they have different conditions and sales for B2B customers.

B2CBusiness to consumer - we often use it in e-shops to indicate sales to end customers.
CMSContent Management System – it is a system for managing the content of a website or e-shop. After logging in to the CMS, the administrator can edit content, texts, images and change the structure of the website.
CRM systemCustomer Relationship Management – ​​it is a system for managing relationships with customers. In this system, you have a database of contacts, you can segment them, set up various marketing activities and thereby increase sales.
DatabaseAll texts and information of your website or e-shop are stored in the database. We can search for this data, display it, perform various operations with it and store new data.
DNSDNS is used on the Internet and on computer networks to translate domain names into IP addresses and thus ensures the simplification of communication and movement on the Internet.
domainA domain is a name with the ending of the relevant country - e.g. .sk, .cz, we further distinguish the so-called generic domains – .com and so on. After purchasing a domain, it becomes your property, or the registrar subscribes to it in your favor.
dropshippingDropshipping is a sales method where the e-shop does not keep the products in its warehouse, but another entity sends them for it from its warehouses, thereby reducing the burden of storage and logistics.
ERP systemsEnterprise resource planning – extensive information systems for company management. These are mostly warehouse systems, accounting, payroll management, business intelligence, data storage. With e-shops, we usually want to pull information from these systems to the e-shop.
eshopThe online store enables the electronic sale of products and services.
GDPRThe General Data Protection Regulation is a European regulation on the protection of personal data. The GDPR also stipulates that personal data should be stored and processed securely.
hostingThis is the physical place where your website or e-shop is stored.
HTMLHypertext Markup Language is used to create electronic documents (so-called pages) that are displayed on the www (World Wide Web). These are actually special tags that describe the elements on your page.
IP adresaAn IP address is a unique number that is assigned to a computer or server communicating via Internet Protocol (IP).
keywordA keyword is a word or phrase that a searcher enters into a search engine. In a broader sense, a keyword is any search phrase.
landing pageIt is a subpage intended for the sale of a product or service, which is displayed in response to a click on a search result for a given term, a link from a newsletter or from an online campaign.
open sourceIt is a type of computer software in which the source code is released under a license in which the copyright holder grants users the rights to use, study, modify and distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose.
personalizationAdaptation of content to a specific user. It can be a personalized email, personalized web content after logging in or even remarketing.
payment gatewayserves for online payment via card or payment buttons
robots.txtRobots.txt is a text file with instructions for search engines. It is used to disable or force crawling of your website.
SEOIt is optimized for improving the position in Google search results. Most often, this is about editing and adding content, editing your website code, and it also has to do with relinking, web history, and many other factors.
Stock systemSystem for managing warehouse stocks in e-shops. Comprehensive article about warehouses for e-shops
SSL certificateThe SSL protocol provides encryption for communication between the server and the visitor. When using this protocol, all communication is encrypted and cannot be intercepted. You can recognize the use of the SSL protocol and encryption through HTTPS, which is in the address line or link.
data synchronizationSynchronization is the exchange of data between the device and the account.
transaction emailsAn automated e-mail sent to the user after performing a certain online activity. In the case of e-shops, it is about confirming the order, changing the status of the order, after changing the password, etc.
mailroomZásielkovňa allows you to order selected products online and pick them up at one of the many delivery points throughout Slovakia.
